Handling emergencies in a mobile practice, covering the territory that we cover in and around Santa Fe can be challenging. An emergency call may come in 45 miles from where we are handling a scheduled appointment. You may be referred to one of the other doctors who is more available to your location. If your call is not returned quickly, please consider calling one of the other veterinarians listed here if your animal's condition cannot wait:

At times, it may be necessary to have you haul your animal to one of the local hospitals or a locale determined by the veterinarian on call in order to be seen. If you do not have the equipment necessary to transport your animal on short notice, please consider it a part of your ownership responsibility to have pre-arranged hauling plans with a friend or neighbor. 

A new emergency call system utilizing a central number to answer emergency calls is under development with the new clinic.
